Today, 2C students shared what they have learned about solid matter by creating posters with the Strip Designer app. Each student worked with a partner to select four photos from the internet, save them to the iPad's photo library, and import the photos into a Strip Designer template. Students included their names inside of a text box, a title, and a speech bubble containing one fact about solids. Students personalized their posters by changing the fonts and colours.
One aspect I forgot to anticipate was the iPad's dictionary getting in the way of what students wanted to say. In the future, I will need to decide whether or not to turn off the auto-correct feature. This can be done by navigating to:
1. Settings -> General -> Keyboard
2. Auto-Correction -> OFF
